With his ERA rising to an NL-worst 7.15 and his velocity again curiously dipping below 90 mph Thursday night, Ian Kennedy was out of answers as he spoke solemnly with the media after allowing seven runs, most them on hard-hit balls that landed well over Petco Park’s fences.
