Padres News: Morrow Will Throw Today

Before yesterday’s series finale with the Los Angeles Angels, San Diego Padres manager Bud Black said that right-handed starting pitcher, Brandon Morrow, will throw a three inning simulated game Thursday afternoon – aiming for around 45 pitches.

Thanks to our friend Bill Center of Padres.com for the details:

If he comes out of the simulated start OK, he’ll have a rehab game five days later

If he gets to 60 or 70 pitches in his rehab start, possibly he’ll return (to the Padres rotation) if we feel that’s enough to start him.
