The Chargers picked up some support for their initiative to raise hotel taxes for a stadium-convention center downtown, but a new poll suggests Measure C still has a big hill to climb to win voter approval in November.
According to a new Union-Tribune/10News poll, the proposal has support from 39 percent of likely voters, up 9 points from another poll five weeks ago, also conducted by SurveyUSA. Opposition is down four percent, which the polling firm notes is a 13-piont swing. A quarter of voters surveyed said they were not certain about whether they would vote for the proposal.
