SAN DIEGO – Given the opportunity, San Diego Chargers general manager Tom Telesco declined to provide assurance that his head coach Mike McCoy will be back at the end of this season.
During his weekly appearance on Xtra 1360 Fox Sports Radio Thursday, Telesco was asked if he could definitively state that McCoy would be back in 2017.
“Contrary to public opinion, we don’t sit around here daily preoccupied with job status,” Telesco said. “It’s just not how it works. I’m not worried about next year right now. To be honest with you, I’m not worried about next week.
