Caraun Reid latest Charger to suffer season-ending ACL injury

SAN DIEGO – The San Diego Chargers lost another player for the year due to a season-ending knee injury.

San Diego head coach Mike McCoy told reporters on Monday that defensive lineman Caraun Reid has been diagnosed with an ACL tear in his left knee that will require surgery, ending his season.

Reid suffered the injury during the first half of San Diego’s 33-30 overtime victory over the Atlanta Falcons.

Claimed off waivers after the Detroit Lions released him during final roster cuts in September, Reid was a valuable pick-up for the Chargers, ably filling in while rookie Joey Bosa recovered from a hamstring injury.
