Antonio Gates among top undrafted players in NFL history

Good Morning.

Gil Brandt of NFL.com examines the top 30 undrafted players in NFL history. Of course, San Diego Chargers tight end Antonio Gates appears on the list at No. 14.

An undrafted rookie in 2004 out of Kent State, Gates was a talented college basketball player who made a successful transition to football. Even though he will be 36 in June, Gates continues to create separation at critical moments of the game, and has a symbiotic relationship on the field with Philip Rivers.

My take: Interesting that quarterback Kurt Warner tops the list and Wes Welker brings up the rear at No.
