Becky Hammon was the talk of the summer in the NBA. Hammon led the Spurs to a 6-1 record in the Las Vegas Summer League. The Spurs beat the Phoenix Suns in the Summer League Championship. Kyle Anderson was named the Summer League MVP, while Jonathon Simmons won the Summer League Championship MVP Award.
Hammon is a primary example of why gender isn’t important when it comes to knowing the sport of basketball and most importantly helping a team win games. Hammon will obviously resume to being assistant coach when the season begins.
