Julius Caeser, a Roman emperor of some note, supposedly once said, "I came, I saw, I conquered."
Well, the past two years I've had the chance to witness the Spurs empire up close.
I came, I saw, I got my ass kicked.
I knew going in that the odds were overwhelmingly against me, so on the macro level this isn't at all surprising. When I moved to San Antonio, away from my friends and family in California, I knew there'd be a 99 percent chance I would come back with my tail tucked between my legs, and here I am moving back home.
