MORAGA, Calif. — The women’s tennis team signed an accomplished recruit this week, inking Mariia Kozyreva to join the team in Fall 2017. Kozyreva originally hails from St. Petersburg, Russia and currently attends high school in Roseville, Calif.
“We are really excited to have Mariia join the program,” said Saint Mary’s Associate head coach Simon Harston. “She loves to compete and is motivated to improve on the court and inside the classroom. That passion will no doubt have an immediate impact on the team.”
Kozyreva has won multiple tournaments overseas including ITF Grade 5 tournaments in both Armenia and Bosnia-Herzegovina in singles play.
