MORAGA, Calif. — Saint Mary’s (6-6, 1-1 WCC) hosted nationally-ranked No. 14 Pepperdine (9-4, 2-0 WCC) for a tightly contested battle, but ultimately fell 4-0 to the Waves Sunday afternoon at the Timothy Korth Tennis Complex.
The defending West Coast Conference champions claimed the doubles point with victories on courts 1 and 2.
Three of the six singles matches went unfinished, as Saint Mary’s forced long rallies and tough points versus the Waves. After falling in the first set, Jacqueline Pelletier came back stronger in the second set.
In the fifth position, Parminder Kaur was locked in a tightly contested battle that went unfinished.
