MORAGA, Calif. — Alexis Salmons had seven blocks and the Saint Mary’s volleyball team hit over .300 for the second straight match Saturday to earn its second sweep of the week as it powered past Bay Area rival Santa Clara, 3-0 (25-21, 25-21, 25-22), in a West Coast Conference match at McKeon Pavilion.

Salmons led all players with 13 kills, matching her season high. She hit a career-best .765 with no attack errors on 17 attempts, helping the Gaels (10-11, 5-5 WCC) hit .302 as a team. Her seven blocks were second in a single match this season only to Alex O’Sullivan’s eight versus Nevada on Sept.
