DAVIS, Calif. — Erik Lyons gave the Saint Mary’s men’s soccer team a 1-0 lead in the 66th minute Thursday, but two unanswered goals, the last one coming five minutes into overtime, pushed UC Davis past the Gaels in a 2-1 overtime win at Aggie Soccer Field in the first game of the Copa de Causeway.
Lyons tallied his second goal of the year 20 minutes into the second half after both teams had played to a stalemate through the first 1 1/2 periods. Lyons received a short cross pass from Kai Howe, who had played the ball deep into the right corner.
