SAN BRUNO, Calif. — The Saint Mary's men's soccer team enters 2017 with a solid mix of veterans and newcomers, and are picked to finish fifth in the West Coast Conference preseason poll, it was announced today.
Senior defender Ben Braman was chosen by the conference's eight head coaches as a member of the preseason All-WCC team. The 6-1 senior was named All-WCC Second Team in 2016.
The Gaels collected one first place vote among the eight coaches. Pacific earns its first preseason top spot in program history after the conference's eight head coaches named the Tigers as the favorite to capture the 2017 WCC title.
