COLUMBIA, Missouri — A solid final 18 holes for the Saint Mary's Golf Team helped them jump two spots to finish tied for fifth in the Tiger Intercollegiate at the Old Hawthorne Club. The Gaels shot a 281 (-2) in the final day of the tournament, bringing their three round total to (-2). Saint Mary's finished nine strokes behind tournament champion Iowa State. The top five finish was the first this Spring for SMC.
Connor Reis and Kristian Bressum paced the Gaels in the final round, both shooting 70. Connor showed excellent composure, bouncing back from back to back bogeys on his eighth and ninth holes to shoot three straight birdies on his 10th, 11th and 12th holes.
