STANFORD, Calif. — The ever rare Monday beach volleyball doubleheader for the Gaels (10-9) pitted them against Bay Area foes Stanford (14-2) and San Francisco (6-10). The Gaels battled to the bitter end of each set, but ultimately dropped both, 5-0 and 3-2 respectively.
The Gaels battled valiantly against the third ranked Cardinal. Karmin Brown/AJ Slojkowski in the four spot, and Paola Peralta/Chloe Swanson in the five spot each finished a set within three points of the Cardinal pairings, however, the Gaels ultimately would be unable to take a set at Stanford.
