Sacramento, Calif. – Today, the Sacramento Kings and Sacramento Region Community Foundation announced the #DoGood Challenge will return as a part of the 2016 BIG Day of Giving. The BIG Day of Giving, held on May 3, is a 24-hour celebration of philanthropy designed to bolster causes that are important to the region, hosted by the Sacramento Region Community Foundation (SRCF), in partnership with the Placer and Yolo community foundations.
Through the Kings #DoGood Challenge, 570 local non-profits from around the region will compete for a special mid-competition prize – a customizable Impact Night at Golden 1 Center during a 2016-17 Kings game, that includes social media promotion, in-game marketing, video content during game breaks designed to highlight and promote their cause, as well as the opportunity to fundraise on the arena’s concourse.
