Reported by CSN California, the Sacramento Kings have decided to shut down rookie two-guard Malachi Richardson for the rest of the season due to a hamstring injury. The news was also reported by Kayte Christensen who is a sideline reporter for the Kings.
Richardson has been ruled out with his hamstring injury going all the way back to February, specifically against the Golden State Warriors right before the All-Star break began.
With the Sacramento Kings in full rebuild mode and giving their young players more opportunities to showcase their worth, it’s a shame that Malachi won’t be part of the process for the time being.
