If you have been to the downtown arena construction site lately, you had to be pleasantly surprised by all the progress. Excitement has grown to new levels at the site this month, as the foundation of the arena’s bowl has taken shape. As you walk by the arena site, especially near the corner of 5th and L Streets, Golden 1 Center’s exterior is quickly coming to life. It's no longer just a big hole in the ground: there really is an arena coming!
The first thing you’ll notice walking by the site are the large, rectangular steel frames referred to as “ladders” that wrap around the bowl’s exterior.
