PISCATAWAY -- One thing is for sure at quarterback for Rutgers moving forward: The Hayden Rettig or Chris Laviano controversy is over.
Both Rettig and Laviano -- who battled over the last two offseasons for the right to be the starter -- told NJ Advance Media of their decisions to transfer this week, thinning out a position where Rutgers had six scholarship options in 2016.
"It's funny because throughout my four years you would never think that me and Hayden were kind of best friends," Laviano said.
