Rutgers Women’s Soccer Team unable to finish Michigan in Double Overtime

The Rutgers Women’s Soccer team traveled to Ann Arbor, MI on Thursday night to take on Michigan University for the third time in team history. Unfortunately, the Scarlet Knights were unable to finish the Wolverines on their home field. Rutgers lost to Michigan 3-2 in a game that went to double overtime. Rutgers which is ranked 19th in the National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA) is now (7-2-2) on the season following the loss.

Although RU outshot Michigan 25-12, they were unable to stop Michigan senior Nicky Waldeck who had three goals on the day including the game winner in double overtime.
