Rutgers to play Maryland at Yankee Stadium in 2017

Rutgers will move a home game against Maryland in the 2017 season to Yankee Stadium, according to a person familiar with the situation. The news of the location change was first reported by CSN Mid-Atlantic.

Former Rutgers athletic Julie Hermann and the Yankees came to an agreement two years ago to move the Nov. 4, 2017, Big Ten matchup to the Bronx, according to the person familiar with the situation.

Hermann was fired in November and new athletic director Pat Hobbs, who threw out the first pitch at the Yankees game on Tuesday alongside football coach Chris Ash, is reviewing the contract.
