Rutgers faculty union president explains difference between ‘T’ and ‘F’ grades

NEW BRUNSWICK – In his original defense of his actions under investigation by the university, Rutgers football coach Kyle Flood said one of the reasons he might contact a faculty member is to inquire as to whether a student-athlete has an opportunity to improve a mark under the school’s ‘T’ grade policy.

However, Rutgers faculty union, in approving a resolution Wednesday calling for a thorough investigation of all possible communications and a full disclosure of results, cited “recent allegations that head football coach Kyle Flood initiated communication with a part-time lecturer about an F grade.”
