PISCATAWAY – Tariq Cole’s profile is at an all-time high, and yet he’s never been more unrecognizable back at home.
Penciled in as the likely sixth man on the Rutgers offensive line, Cole is days away from making his college football debut – a milestone that is several years of pounds-shedding in the making.
In fact, Cole transformed his body so much that he no longer gets stopped on the boardwalk in Long Beach, N.Y. like he did when he was a high school star.
“They don’t know who I am,” Cole said. “I don’t have big shirts.
