Indiana showed extraordinary patience with coach Kevin Wilson, who didn't make a bowl until his fifth year at the helm.

Then, after reaching back-to-back bowls, Wilson was fired amid allegations of player mistreatment, particularly in regard to injury management.

Indiana had only been to bowl between 1994 and Wilson's hire, so whether or not successor Tom Allen can keep the momentum going is anyone's guess.

Just about everything about Allen era seems different, as you might expect when a former defensive coordinator takes over for one of the top offensive minds in the nation.
