PISCATAWAY -- Rutgers football fans are excused if they are suffering a bit of heightened anxiety and worst-case scenario deja vu when it comes to Janarion Grant's status.
Two years ago, defensive tackle Darius Hamilton -- arguably the team's biggest star at the time -- was held out of most of training camp with a mysterious knee injury. Both then-coach Kyle Flood and Hamilton offered constant public reassurances that he was on track.
Hamilton wound up missing the first two games of the 2015 season, playing about a dozen snaps in the third game and ultimately missing the rest of the season to take a redshirt.
