Heisman Trophy 2016: Why Clemson quarterback Deshaun Watson can win

Let's get one thing out of the way first: Deshaun Watson's statistics pale in comparison to Louisville quarterback Lamar Jackson, who edged the Clemson signal caller for both the Atlantic Coast Conference Offensive Player of the Year and top quarterback honors.

But there is one thing that Watson has over Jackson as the two vie for the Heisman Trophy this week. The Clemson QB won the head-to-head matchup when their teams squared off in early October.

Watson threw for 306 yards on 20-for-31 passing, with five touchdowns and three interceptions in a 42-36 triumph.
