Ex-NFL player's suit says prosecutors fabricated evidence against him

It took a grand jury 11 minutes to end Khaseem Greene's NFL career.

The former Rutgers football star was indicted on a gun charge following a shooting outside an Elizabeth nightclub in 2016.

He didn't fire the gun, but prosecutors claimed that he handed the weapon to the shooter. They said they had security camera footage of the handoff and the gunman, Jason Sanders, implicated Greene.

They built their case against Greene on those two bits of evidence and a grand jury indicted him. The same day he was indicted, the Kansas City Chiefs dropped him.
