N.J. Sports Now: Perception is reality for Rutgers recruiting (VIDEO)

The first Rutgers football loss of 2015 didn't come against Penn State, Ohio State or any Big Ten school in September or October. It occurred on April 15, within the walls of Bergen Catholic High School.

When Jarrett Guarantano chose Tennessee, Rutgers lost a top New Jersey quarterback prospect from the class of 2016. While it will be hard to replace his talent and upside, the bigger loss was in fan perception of recruiting.
