PISCATAWAY – The wait to find out the next Rutgers starting quarterback could be even longer than expected.
Kyle Flood doesn’t expect to name a starter after spring practice and he suggested battle between Chris Laviano and Hayden Rettig could stretch beyond the first week of training camp.
“I don’t think it will be a race that will get settled this spring,” Flood said on the Big Ten coaches teleconference. “But I think as we get into training camp we’ll probably have about 10 days in training camp where we can let that play out between Chris and Hayden.
