Vikings Offer Lame Response To Report That Their New Stadium Is Murdering Dozens Of Birds

When the Super Bowl comes to U.S. Bank Stadium in 2018, let’s just hope that the Cardinals, Falcons or Ravens aren’t involved. The Minnesota Vikings’ brand new stadium is offing birds at a serial killer rate — more than 60 this past migratory season — making it the worst bird-killing machine in the state aside from Kentucky Fried Chicken.

A joint report by three agencies — the Audubon Chapter of Minneapolis, the Minnesota Citizens for the Protection of Migratory Birds and the Friends of Roberts Bird Sanctuary — came up with the numbers, and estimate that roughly 500 birds per year will die from slamming into the glass roof of the stadium.
