We decided to find the five biggest markets without an NFL team, and give them a headstart on naming their new mascots.
In an era where we’re probably going to see the NFL expand out to London, Toronto or another foreign city (Birmingham!) before it expands to other U.S. cities, it could mean NFL teams would have to move for any of these five cities to get an NFL team.
Rather than look at largest cities by land mass or largest cities by population, we’re going to break it down like the NFL would – largest media markets.
