Houston Cougars head coach Tom Herman made a promise to his players this season. If Houston won the American Athletic Conference Championship, Herman would get a diamond grill.
Herman said Monday that he'll keep that promise. He will meet with Houston-based rapper Paul Wall Tuesday to be fitted for the grill.
Houston went 12-1 in Herman's first season at the helm, en route to a Peach Bowl berth against Florida State. Before heading to Houston, Herman served as Ohio State's offensive coordinator.
Herman was a popular candidate for several head coaching jobs this season, but elected to stay with the Cougars. Now, he's doubling down and getting a grill with Wall, who is rather popular in his hometown.
Hopefully, Herman's promise to his players included agreeing to wear the grill during the team's bowl game.
