Ever wondered how many times Allen Iverson was name-dropped in a rap song? San Francisco-based programmer Brandon Liu put together an interactive chart showing how many times NBA stars were mentioned in rap songs and how it compares to their scoring average – and it’s absolutely fantastic.

Michael Jordan leads the way with 447 lifetime mentions, but it’s the details that make this chart so fascinating – turns out it was Lil Wayne that name-dropped Chris Paul first, and some of the Pippen references are, well, less than flattering. Be warned – start reading through this thing, and an hour will be gone before you know it.
