Virginia Tech unveiled new tri-colored alternate helmets for its September 12th game against Furman, and the lids are pretty sleek.
The Hokies will don the Nike alternates (inspired by these Navy lids from 2012), which feature a metallic orange stripe sandwiched between a dominant white section and a lower maroon section, for Military Appreciation Day.
A lot depended on the uniform the helmet would be paired with, but based on the white tops with maroon-and-orange shoulder stripes in the photo, the whole look definitely works. Grade: B+
