5 College Football Teams That Should Be Replaced By FCS Teams

Several college football teams lost to FCS teams today, which got us thinking. What FBS teams belong in the FCS? Yeah, you can make an easy argument for MAC and Sun Belt teams, but then we'd lose too much #MACtion and #FunBelt. So here are five power conference teams that should be replaced by FCS teams.

Kansas Jayhawks

You lost to South Dakota State. That's not even the good FCS school from the Dakotas. You thought hiring Charlie Weis was a good idea. Sorry Jayhawks fans, you belong in the FCS. Your basketball team can stay though.

Indiana Hoosiers

You barely beat the Southern Illinois Salukis. You let SIU score the most points in school history. I mean, seriously, you're nothing but a glorified MAC school. Heck, most MAC schools are probably better than you. Your basketball team can stay (for now), but it's time for your football team to head to the FCS.

Washington State Cougars

What FBS team loses to Portland State? You do, Washington State. It's been 10 years since you had a winning record. Mike Leach clearly isn't going to get you anywhere, so just cut your losses and head to the FCS. Let's get Boise in the Pac-12 already.

Vanderbilt Commodores

Excluding those two years under James Franklin, you've had one winning season since 1982. What are you doing in the FBS, let alone the SEC? Let's get somebody better in the SEC and you can go join the FCS. Maybe there you can win something for once.

Notre Dame Fighting Irish

Seriously, who do you think you are Notre Dame? Yeah, you've got a decent football team, but you're ALWAYS overrated. And you think you're too good for a conference, huh? Well, until you join the rest of the 21st century and join one, you belong in the FCS. Plus, we won't have to deal with your holier-than-thou fans anymore. Just go to the FCS and leave us all alone.
