5 Reasons 2000 Was Worst NBA Draft Ever

Not every NBA draft class is created equal.

For every 2003 — a year that gave us LeBron James, Carmelo Anthony, Dwyane Wade and Chris Bosh, among others — there is a dud. And perhaps in no year was the crop as fallow as it was in 2000.

There have been some bad NBA draft classes, but the one that entered the league 15 years ago is the worst of all time. Here are five reasons why.

1. The entire NBA draft Class of 2000 combined for just three NBA All-Star Games

The 58 players taken in the 2000 draft had a combined three NBA All-Star Game appearances, one apiece for Kenyon Martin, Jamaal Magloire and Michael Redd.
