Real Monarchs cruise freely about the Galaxy for a 3-0 victory

Despite a 10 day layoff the Real Monarchs came out ready to play and seized control of play from the opening whistle. Demonstrating the fluidity and awareness that has marked the best of the performances this year, the Monarchs moved the ball freely in the Galaxy side of the field that showed their youth.

Against the run of play, the Galaxy had their only real chance of the game when Jorge Hernandez hit a nice volley which went off the cross post in the 22’.

Sebastian Valezquez was taken down in the box shortly after in the 24’ and wrong footed Jon Kempin to convert the penalty kick to give the Monarchs an 1-0 lead.
