A construction crew found what they suspected to be dynamite while working on an older home in the Old Town area Monday morning, Park City officials said, causing evacuations.
Park City police Capt. Phil Kirk said that the object was discovered just before 10 a.m. on the 900 block of Empire Avenue.
Residents were evacuated for about a block on either side of the site, and a bomb squad was called in to investigate and safely remove the object.
