Moore, a senior pitcher from St. Peters, Missouri, will hang up the cleats after the 2015 season. And even though she’s been playing softball for well over a decade, the transition won’t be as hard as some would think.
With her softball career over, Moore will be able to focus on her career plans: becoming a registered dietitian. That process continues next fall.
“What it is, it’s an internship for a certain amount of hours to get my credentials to become a registered dietitian,” Moore said of her 2016 school year. “I’ll come back next fall and I’ll be here for a whole year and get all my hours, all my clinicals.
