Jimmy Simpson, senior driver for Delta Tau Delta’s Grand Prix team, brought home the 2015 championship in a dominant fashion. Simpson’s No. 1 go-kart led 159 of the race’s 160 laps, falling briefly to second after being passed by Camden Speth of the McCutcheon squad during lap 57.
Simpson is a seasoned driver with experience in Indy Lights racing and the Atlantic Championship Series. Most followers of Grand Prix were expecting him to win, given his credentials and performance over the last two years. Simpson, however, does not like to make predictions and went into the race knowing anything could happen.
