Franklin redshirted last year as a true freshman, but he knew this could be his year. Purdue lost virtually all of its receivers headed into this year, so Franklin’s opportunity was to be this year before Isaac Zico, Terry Wright, and Corey Holmes were brought in as two-year stopgap solutions before Brohm can get his guys on board.
