Former Boilermaker takes coaching job

Ryne Smith was named the head boys basketball coach for the Indians.

Smith played for Purdue from 2008 to 2012 and remained a part of the team for the 2012-13 season as a student assistant coach. He still holds the single-game records for 3-point attempts and 3-point shots made. He is third on the Boilermakers all-time list of 3-pointers made in a season and sits ninth on the career 3-pointer list.

For the last two seasons, Smith as been the head coach at Clinton Prairie High School, a Division A basketball program. His new home, Anderson, is a 4A program.
