R.I. Hockey Journal: Hard work is PC commit Parker Ford’s calling card

What Parker Ford of Wakefield might lack in size at 5-foot-9 and 170 pounds, he makes up for in effort.

“I’ve always prided myself on trying to be the hardest worker on the ice,″ said Ford, a forward for the last two seasons on the U-16 team at Connecticut’s Selects Academy at South Kent.

His work paid off on Monday when he verbally committed to Providence College.

Ford, who recently turned 17, had offers from a couple of other Hockey East schools and an Atlantic Hockey school, as well as a training camp invitation from an Ontario Hockey League team.
