PROVIDENCE, R.I. — U.S. Sen. Jack Reed was pelted with questions, full-throated demands that he do even more as a member of the minority party in the GOP-dominated Senate to fight President Donald Trump's agenda — and he received an occasional "thank you" — from the 100 or so people who came to the federal courthouse on Thursday to give him an earful. Several people at Reed's hour-long community meeting for constituents talked about their fears as gays, another her fears as a Muslim woman, and a third, the dread of an immigrant who arrived in the United States as an asylee decades ago, who now fears persecution all over again.
