PC 6, UMass 0: Friars earn a share of Hockey East regular season championship

  • PROVIDENCE -- On Senior Night, Providence College's seniors led the way as the Friars earned a share of the Hockey East regular-season title for the first time with a 6-0 win over UMass at Schneider Arena on Saturday night.
    Fifth-ranked PC got two goals and five points from senior Trevor Mingoia and his linemate and classmate Mark Jankowski scored two goals and four points.
    Senior John Gilmour scored a goal and an assist and senior Nick Saracino posted two assists for the Friars. Junior Josh Monk had a goal and an assist.
