Heading into the season with a young, inexperienced team, the Providence College coach buckled his seatbelt, knowing that a rollercoaster ride was just ahead. And that’s how it has played out over the first two months. There have been downs and there have been ups.
The downs include a 5-2 loss at Merrimack on the day after Thanksgiving in which PC went into the third period with a 1-0 lead, then uncharacteristically gave up four goals plus an empty netter in the final 20 minutes.
Another low ebb was a 5-4 loss at Northeastern on Nov.
