Holy Cross 2, PC 1: Coughlin's goal in OT gives Crusaders upset win over 11th-ranked Friars

WORCESTER – Sophomore defenseman Johnny Coughlin’s goal at 1:41 of overtime lifted Holy Cross to a 2-1 upset win over 11th-ranked Providence College at the DCU Center on Saturday night.

Providence College’s Erik Foley and Neil Robinson of Holy Cross traded third-period goals to send the game to extra time.

On the winner, Coughlin swung around the net and stuffed the puck past PC goalie Hayden Hawkey

PC’s Foley bull-rushed the net and flipped the puck past Crusader goalie Paul Berrafato at 14:19 of the third. Scott Conway and Josh Monk were credited with assists.
