Friars Continue Dominance of Georgetown

Providence has responded to last week’s loss to DePaul in resounding fashion — first by holding off a late rally against Seton Hall over the weekend, and then thrashing Georgetown on the road two nights later.

This one was never all that close. The Friars led 42-27 at the break, then pushed and maintained the lead out to 20 for much of the second half, eventually winning 74-56 in earning their first road victory of the season.

The two biggest differences between PC and the Hoyas on Monday night?

Providence has a very good point guard, while Georgetown is desperately in search of one.
