NEW YORK --- Providence College men's basketball coach Ed Cooley was asked whether or not members of his team would stage any form of protest during the National Anthem at Friars games this season. The extended remarks below were made at Tuesday's Big East Media Day at Madison Square Garden.
-- "We talk about it. It’s the elephant in the room right now in the landscape of athletics. I personally have my beliefs with the National Anthem, of which I talked to my team about. I’m a big believer that the United States is the best place in the world to live.
