Wolves are on the verge of appointing former Benfica boss and No 1 choice Bruno Lage as the club's new manager... replacing Nuno Espirito Santo who resigned last month

Bruno Lage is set to be appointed as the new Wolves manager to replace Nuno Espirito Santo.

The former Benfica coach, who has been out of work since last summer, is close to being confirmed and is likely to be in place in time for pre-season in July.

Lage has been recommended by super-agent Jorge Mendes - who had Cristiano Ronaldo amongst his clients - whose Gestifute agency has close links with the board at Molineux.
